Public Statement – The Economy

Public statement of Prince Radu of Romania The Economy I invited you today, so that I can address, through you, the citizens of Romania. From the beginning of the economic crisis, two strongly harmful tendencies for the society are becoming more pronounced every day: the lowering of performance in the functioning of public authorities and the dangerous detachment between State and society. The response of the politicians is an unacceptable one, with severe consequences for the state of the nation: the cover up of the precarious economic problem with pitiful electoral disputes. After Romania entered the economic recession, the political rhetoric amplified, instead of being replaced by professionalism and competency. What will get Romania through is an increase in production, the amplification of investments and the stimulation of business, not the political parasitizing of public institutions. The relative, but constant economic increase in the last years made it so that people ignore the politician’s unfulfilled promises, creating 2 worlds: one in which those who lead the country promise and don’t deliver and another in which people are used to solve their own problems, at times at the border line or beyond the laws. Because they’ve lost all hope of help on part of the leaders and the institutions. The existence of these 2 worlds creates in 2009 one of the most difficult situations for the Romanian State and its citizens. The economic crisis has brought people to the point where they have to look to someone, to have hope. People have come out into the streets exasperated by the consequences of the economic recession and worried about tomorrow – farmers, teachers, railways workers. In order to survive, before 2009, the Romanians had found refuge in a world separated from the political one. Today, in full crisis, turning to the politicians, the Romanian people find yet another closed door. Four mistakes have aggravated the economic crisis in the Romanian perimeter. All strictly determined by irresponsibility, obtuseness and egoism. The inabilities of our political leaders to take into account the prognosis and long-term project in the economic and financial fields. Passing of laws for pure electoral purposes or serving the interests of few, to the detriment of the others. Most recent victims being the retired and the teachers who were promised the raise or at least the maintenance of their income, to discover, only a few months later, that the promises were without substance. The introduction, at an unsuited moment, of restrictive fiscal regulations that clogs, if not damages, the life of small businesses, in the conditions of economic crisis. Political mismanagement of public money. While jobs could be created through infrastructural investment, agriculture and the other fields stipulated in the FMI, EU, BERD or BEI, the country is on hold, in an unsubstantiated wait, for the elected ones, and their political clientele, to introduce money into activities with no positive social impact, but with the only purpose of personal gain.
In moments of economic and political difficulty, the Government’s and the parties’ responsibility is even greater. Performance at the administrative level, and competency there must increase, not be replaced by political rhetoric and personal ambitions. It is not the moment for rustic feasts, or interminable electoral launches, Romania has no particular reason for celebration. It is not the way to conquest Europe. Europe can only be “conquered” by constructing future at home. I advise administrative correctitude and responsibility. If this political circus is not finished, bread will be too short for many of this country’s people. The ones with political-administrative responsibilities cannot pretend to fail to understand the difficult moment we are passing through. The country cannot be deluded in 2009. Teachers, farmers, public servants cannot be deluded. The young people, born after 1989 less! 20 years after the December 1989 events: It is time for values, competency and professionalism to gather and be allowed to work for the Romanians! It is time that the administration of European Funds to be equilibrated between the local, regional and national levels! It is time to stop the allocation of public money, from budget resources or European Funds, on criteria other than social efficiency! This country will not overcome the economic crisis at the hands of one man. It is time to learn to trust democracy, the role of public institutions and their rules! It is time for Romania’s institutions to function professionally and in the interest of society. |

nu mai am cuvinte! Se incearca sa mi se explice ca nu sunteti mai bun ca altii.. Ok, perfect!! Eu va consider bun si daca ati fi rau si as avea de ales dintre mai multe rele care mi-ar fi pacatul daca as tine cu dumneavoastra?? Sincer, nu stiu.. insa stiu ca sunt dezamagita rau.. Eu am fost ieri in Timisoara cu scoala ( acum trec in clasa a XII-a ) si am fost in parcul din apropierea centrului, locului acela frumos plin de porumbei, am fost in libraria din apropierea acelui loc si in 2 biserici ortodoxe. Aveam o ora libera in care puteam sa facem ce dorim si eui am preferat sa fac singura toate aceste lucruri caci ceilalti mai bine si-au pierdut timpul stand la rand la inghetata.. 
Timisoara o veti vizita?? Cand ati vizitat-o ultima data??
ce as putea sa spun?? Pai, .. un profesor/-a ( nu vreau sa-i spun sexul ) care a spus ca nu vor primii salarii in vacanta de vara.. Wow!! Inseamna ca traiesc din aer?? Inseamna ca in ziua de azi omul nu mai poate trai normal in tara aceasta? Desigur!! Atunci, e bine de stiut acest lucru! Daca romanii nu au ce manca .. ce conteaza?? Sa aibe cateva familii conturi frumusele in banca ori bani ”la saltea” .. asta e cel mai important.. Nu?? NU!! ( parerea mea) Mai nou am fost facuta pe ocolite de catre 2 membre PD-L pinochio care calca dintr-o balta in alta si incercau sa-mi explice cum sa reactionez daca am un esec.. Poate ca implinesc eu peste 6 luni 18 ani dar asta nu inseamna ca nu citesc din cand in cand carti de psihologie ori ma interesez cat de cat de filozofia. Cred ca mi se incearca sa mi se puna si mie pe frunte eticheta de ”prost”..

Leadership of True Love
First, let us consider leadership.
The vision of leadership is based on three concepts of true parent, teacher and owner.
A true parent leader is one whose heart for the world is like the heart of a loving father or mother toward their children. This is a heart of unconditional love, and a heart that is willing to sacrifice for the sake of the children and for the sake of the family. The primary virtue required of the true parent is true love, that is, a desire and capacity to live for the sake of others. A parent invests continually and unconditionally, time and time again.
A true teacher leader is one who is committed to truth and who obeys the guidance of the conscience. A true teacher does not use words and ideas as the servant of selfish interests or desires, but rather speaks and takes action based on truths that are universal and which go beyond the interests of any given person, race, religion, nationality, business or culture. The primary virtues required of the true teacher are wisdom and courage, the ability to discern the truth of the conscience and the internal power to act on that truth.
A true owner is a leader who understands ownership in the sense of taking responsibility. A true owner does not call on the landlord to fix a problem, but initiates action to heal, restore, fix or solve a problem. A true owner does not seek or covet material things for selfish reasons, but for the sake of others, the family, the society, the nation and the world. The primary virtue of the true owner is self-control or temperance, the ability to control one¹s own appetites and desires, and generosity, the capacity and desire to share one¹s blessings with others.
Becoming a true parent, true teacher, and true owner leader does not happen easily or automatically. Rather, the capacity to become such a leader requires training, sacrifice, even suffering in the effort to develop the kind of virtues, character and wisdom so basic to good leadership. Good leaders are first and foremost good persons, and good spouses.
Do you want to be a great leader and govern in a way to save the nation? before you can save the nation, you must first save yourself, and become a true person.”How can you claim to love God, the world, or the nation, when you have failed to truly love your own spouse with an absolute love.”
Good leadership requires not only knowledge, experience, a strong intellect, and well-developed organizational and social skills. It requires most of all, good character with attributes such as a loving heart, honesty, loyalty, compassion, self-control, courage, wisdom and good judgment. Leadership based on only on ambition, cleverness, social skills, intellect, experience, etc., but lacking in character will always give way to corruption. Character is the foundation of perception and the interpretation of the world and those around us. In this way it affects decision-making and actions.
The most important trait of a good leader is true love, the ability to live for the sake of others. The capacity for true love has its foundation in the family, in the love we receive from our parents, the relationships we develop with our siblings, and the gradual expansion of our heart through the experiences of marriage and parenthood.
Leadership is not fundamentally about charisma, popularity, or boldness, though it can sometimes be enhanced by these qualities. It is fundamentally about taking responsibility and living for others.
A leader, who contribute , must first be a person of peace, a person with harmony of mind and body, a person who lives according conscience, with integrity and with a serving mind. A revolution of heart, this vision of leadership we can understand the concept of good governance.
Governance describes a human process or system for organizing or ordering life so that problems can be solved and there can be harmony, cooperation and prosperity. We can say that good governance contributes to peace in ourselves, in family, society, nation in the world.
The concept of governance applies to any realm of human relationships, from the family, to voluntary associations, corporations, religious institutions, and the nation. Good governance seeks to fulfill the mission in any given realm, and contribute peace.
Good governance is centered on a good purpose. In particular, the purpose should not be self-centered, but should be oriented toward both the well being of the whole community.
For example, a business can be managed in such a way as to create profit, but its primary objective should be to benefit the employees, the customers and the wider community. Also, a religion can seek to communicate its truth and even to encourage others to embrace that truth, but it should not do so to the detriment of followers of other religions.
As in a family, governance should not bring advantage to one while bringing disadvantage to another. Thus, governance should never be exclusively self-centered. This applies to religions, nations, races, businesses and families.
Governance grounded in true parent leadership is one that is analogous to the governance of a good family. A good family is one characterized by respectful, cooperative partnerships. Husband and wife serve each other, and parents and children serve each other.
Very naturally, the true love system of governance with an ideal family would have become the basis for governance in the wider society, nation and world.
The concept of “headwing” governance stands in contrast to the polarization of left wing and right wing approaches to governance. In some ways, conflict between left wing and right wing approaches to governance is like the conflict in a disunited family.
A headwing approach always seeks to unify and harmonize that which is divided. But, more fundamental than headwing true love theory. Thus, a cooperative, loving, caring system of governance would have emerged, very naturally.
The philosophy of governance for peace is rooted in three core, moral principles:
A true leader or true parent must maintain strict standards of purity and fidelity. That is, the love, life and lineage made sacred through marriage should never be violated. The proper governance of ones sexual organ, which is the key to maintaining the integrity of the family, is the foundation of good governance.
A true leader and true teacher must care for all persons within his or her realm of governance as a loving parent would care for his or her children. That is, the full value, integrity, and aspirations of all human beings must be respected. The rights of any person should never be violated. The heart of others should never be hurt by careless actions.
A true leader or a true owner never misuses public money or material things, but always serves the well being of the whole comunity.
The methodology of true love and headwing philosophy, establishing an institution characterized by true love leadership and good governance. The “headwing” this term refers to an institution of governance, like the UN, but which fully manifests the ideals outlined above.
We live at a time when established structures are being challenged and called to renewal and transformation. This applies to the United Nations, to nation states themselves, and to religion, in an age of the internet, national borders are less important. More and more, national sovereignty is giving way to regional alliances such as the EU, the AU, ASEAN, NATO, NAFTA, CARICOM, etc. This is consistent with a growing trend for unification and cooperation.
For example, we may focus on HIV/AIDS prevention, conflict resolution and reconciliation, and poverty eradication, strength lies in its moral and spiritual vision, and in its power to transform lives, a power rooted in the strength of its teachings ideals.
We need always to see things multi-dimensionally, in levels or stages, from the most internal and spiritual to the most external and material. We need to see history and human affairs not only in terms of social, political, psychological, or economic developments, but in terms of providence and the spiritual principles that guide that providence.
In this light, the practice and experience of reconciliation and unification are powerful forces. While human history has been dominated by forces of conflict, resentment, and dialectical struggle, that era of conflict is now coming to an end. An era of peace. Unifiers will rise, and barrier-makers will decline. True love practices will bear fruit. Those who sow seeds of resentment, retaliation and complaint, will decline.
In your deliberations over the next few days I hope you will consider these words, and include these guidelines in your discussion. I firmly believe a new age is dawning. It cannot be stopped. And, we are playing a key role in this process. As we all develop an culture of heart, and as we apply the ideals of leadership and good governance discussed above, this age will emerge more quickly and surely.
Please do not hesitate or hold back. Let us work together. We can change Romania. We can make the nation new, and put the history of suffering, injustice, violation, poverty, corruption, and all evils behind us. The ideals which the saints and sages of Romanian history have lived and died for are now being realized.

Au trecut cateva saptamani de cand nu v-am mai scris, timp in care am analizat multe lucruri.
In primul rand, sunt bucuros ca in aceasta perioada ati incercat sa vizitati toata tara si ati fost si in Italia. De foarte multe ori, romanii care au fost nevoiti sa plece in strainatate pentru a lucra sunt ignorati de clasa politica. Singura exceptie ar fi perioada electorala cand ilustra noastra clasa politica face o mica vizita, promite luna de pe cer si urmatorii ani pace si liniste. Presedintele Romaniei este presedintele romanilor de pretutindeni (nu vorbesc de actualul ci in general). Acesta lupta ca drepturile acestora sa fie respectate pretutindeni. Este bine ca aveti o politica activa si strabateti toata tara si oamenii va apreciaza mult pentru acest lucru. Totodata, consider ca acest lucru nu trebuie sa inceteze.
Probabil ma veti considera prea dur, dar eu consider ca 95% din actuala clasa politica romaneasca este definita de un singur cuvant: “GAINARI”. Sunt satul sa aud in fiecare zi cum fiecare dintre acestia se lauda cu “reusitele” lor. Cred ca daca am lua amanuntit toate aceste “realizari” ar trebui sa construim mai multe inchisori. Eu nu vreau sa sun patetic, v-am mai reamintit acest lucru, dar la ora actuala eu nu am cunoscut inca vreun om care sa aiba curajul sa desfiinteze public aceste “mari personalitati ale politicii”. Circoteca, totusi exista, mai ales ca aduce mult rating( unitatea de masura pentru succes in Romania). Trist este ca de 20 de ani e circoteca si nu doar ca nu am tras invataturi, dar a inceput sa devina ceva obisnuit.
Cred ca si dumneavoastra ati avut multe neplaceri, multe critici inutile de la oameni carora nu i-ati jignit si multi care nici macar nu i-ati cunoscut. Eu v-am apreciat pentru ca ganditi ca un european adevarat si sunteti un om care respecta pe toti ceilalti. Din pacate, pentru foarte multi totul se reduce la bani si faima, ei fiind dispusi sa renunte si la respectul de sine pentru aceste lucruri. Au fost diferite expresii de la “mari” ziaristi, jurnalisti, politicieni sau alte categorii, dar aceasta este “tactica”. Si alti oameni, politicieni care erau competenti, bine vazuti in toata lumea, si care au venit sa ajute la modernizare….au fost luati la suturi de aceste categorii. Am urmarit numeroase emisiuni si diferiti politicieni care nu sunt nimic altceva decat niste “sateliti” pentru anumite partide si care aruncau tot felul de minciuni si jigniri.
Dumneavoastra ati fost primul om care a aparut in mass-media si a spus ca lupta aceasta dintre partide(pentru mine e un show ieftin) ne-a divizat pe toti romanii si cred ca aveti foarte mare dreptate. Daca in tarile UE, oamenii se respecta indiferent de convingerile lor, in Romania solidaritatea lipseste cu desavarsire. Romania, si imi pare rau sa o spun, nu a fost pregatita in 1989, dar astazi trebuie sa fie.
E timpul ca “gainaria” sa dispara din Romania. Romania trebuie construita cu romani, dar trebuie inteles odata pentru totdeauna ca lucrurile cu care se construieste o lume mai buna, in care putem fi cu totii fericiti, sunt munca, cinstea, respectul si dragostea si nu “gainariile”.
Romania are nevoie de un presedinte independent care sa nu aiba simpatii fata de nimeni, care sa se lupte pentru tara lui la fiecare intalnire si nu un presedinte si o clasa politica care prezinta Romania ca un loc in care troneaza betia, cluburile de fite, incultura, prostia si…”gainaria”.
Zilele trecute, am inceput sa strang semnaturi pentru sustinerea campaniei. Imi este destul de greu la acest moment datorita faptului ca mai am doar 2 saptamani pana la Bacalaureat, dar odata ce voi termina ma voi dedica si mai mult campaniei. Nu stiu ce planuri aveti pentru Timisoara, dar aici veti avea pana la capat un “nebun” care va fi dispus sa vorbeasca cu fiecare om din oras si sa-l convinga ca merita sa va aleaga. Am avut zilele trecute in liceu o experienta foarte interesanta. Am mers la o clasa de a12-a(colega cu noi) si i-am intrebat daca doresc sa semneze si nu ma asteptam, dar colegii de acolo mi-au spus ca nu va cunosc si daca doresc sa le spun despre dumneavoastra. Nu va faceti griji, tot ce le-am spus a fost bazat pe discursuri si informatii culese de pe blog. Am primit voturi de la colegi, profesori, chiar si una din bibliotecare si asistenta au dorit sa-mi semneze. Este semnul inceputului!
Sondajele?……sunt doar minciuni(atat timp cat partidele vor comanda aceste sondaje si mass-media va fi condusa de…).
In final, va urez mult succes in continuare si astept informatii de la dumneavoastra. Sunt doar in slujba dumnavoastra!
P.S.: Legat de europarlamentare….eu merg la vot si voi alege cea mai buna solutie. Nu am ales persoana dupa realizari, competenta si nu dupa culoarea partidului/independentei. As fi curios dumneavoastra ce veti face?

I have read your statement which consists of compiling several other previous declarations.
What I don’t really get is how in the world are you going to do what you make an appeal for ?
You don’t really have the necessary support.
Just appealing for changing the current situation won’t make any difference.
Romania is the country where people expect to see from others. As long as you don’t have a political support nor a large feedback from the population … means you don’t really have a plan.
You have said we should’t see the President as a “father”, but on the other hand you are saying that the President has a representation role. And that is a contradiction.
Frankly, I do not understand how do you really want to change Romania.
You probably would like to be the President that acts like a King.
What I would like you to be is the Prince of Romania, when our country will return to the Monarchy as a form of government.
Only then, Queen Margareta and Prince Radu will be able to play the representation role in front of Romanian people.

I would suggest you would use “rail workers” instead of “train station workers”

Trebuie sa va concentrati pe solutii economice pt a castiga cursa,asta ii doare pe oameni cel mai mult in acest moment.

Va multumesc pentru mesaj. Imi pare rau ca, in calitate de sustinator al monarhiei, va simtiti lezat de candidatura mea. Va trimit cât pot de prompt raspunsurile la chestiunile ridicate de dumneavoastra (nu stiu de ce) in limba engleza:
- Textul din pagina de jurnal de astazi este traducerea in limba engleza a primei mele Declaratii de presa dintre cele patru anuntate, numita “Economia” si facuta publica pe 21 mai 2009. A doua va fi prezentata saptamâna viitoare si se va numi “Agricultura”.
- Nu intentionez sa “fac” eu economia mai buna. Intr-o democratie, cel aflat in fruntea statului nu poate “face” economia mai buna. Nici nu poate constrânge institutiile statului sa devina performante. El poate atrage atentia, poate da bunul sau exemplu personal, poate profesionaliza si face competenta propria sa administratie. De asemenea, poate veni cu initiative, proiecte si idei care sa modifice in bine pozitia societatii românesti.
- Spuneti “You don’t really have the necessary support”. De la cine sa am suport? Speram sa-l am de la dumneavoastra. Daca 22 de milioane de oameni stau si se uita la cei 10-12.000 care performeaza dispretuindu-i pe cei 22 milioane, nu voi avea nici un suport. Ma bazez pe bunul-simt al oamenilor, pe instinctul binelui care nu are cum sa dispara complet. Va referiti la suportul politic? De la cine si cum credeti ca ar putea el sa vina?
- Nu sunt de acord cu dumneavoastra când spuneti “Just appealing for changing the current situation won’t make any difference.” Un om cu raspunderi de stat sau care se pregateste pentru acest fel de leadership are datoria sa cheme la schimbare. Tocmai acesta este rolul lui. Un presedinte in democratie nu are rolul de a substitui institutiile, ci de a le da sansa, a le incuraja sa devina mai bune.
- Spuneti ca, daca nu am nici sprijin politic si nici feedback de la populatie, nu am nici un plan. Ce legatura are una cu alta? Cum ati ajuns la concluzia ca nu voi avea un “feedback” de la populatie?
- Nu exista nici o contradictie intre afirmatia “presedintele nu este un tatuc” si “presedintele are un rol reprezentativ”. Daca va uitati mai atent la ceea ce am spus acolo, veti vedea ca am dreptate. Tara nu se “conduce” de la Cotroceni. Tara se “reprezinta” de la Cotroceni, veghindu-se la valorile ei fundamentale si la buna functionare a autoritatilor publice.
- Doresc sa schimb România prin respectarea Constitutiei si a legilor ei. Si prin reprezentarea ei onorabila in lume. Respectând Constitutia si rolul Presedintelui, asa cum este el prevazut in Legea fundamentala, gasesti suficient de lucru pentru un mandat de cinci ani.
- Am luat decizia de a candida la Presedintia României dupa o lunga chibzuinta, si numai dupa ce am primit acordul si sprijinul deplin al Regelui Mihai si consimtamântul Principesei Margareta. Imi pare rau ca nu doriti sa ma vedeti in aceasta pozitie. Dar respect dreptul dumneavoastra de a alege.
- Traducerea in limba engleza a textului de mai sus nu imi apartine mie, ci unui traducator. Am operat modificarea sugerata, inlocuind “train station worker” cu “railway worker”.
